Where to get normally closed relay? Or something like it ...
Hello, first post and am really frustrated. I've had experience wiring in NO relays in my car that provide power to something when I flip a switch,...12V Fan Relay Wiring? the12volt
12V Fan Relay Wiring? I'm trying to wire up a Bosch style relay and a toggle switch to turn my radiator fan on and off when I want to, the toggle switch is obviously inside the vehicle. I found this diagram online but I'm still confused on what goes where, any help is appreciated! How to Wire a 12V Relay | It Still Runs
Tips. If you want to use the relay to turn off equipment when the relay operates, connect the power input lead from the equipment you want to turn off to the "normally closed" (NC) terminal of the relay.Need help wiring relay to cut power when activated ...
You want these to turn off when the headlights are on? Probably easiest with an SPST relay with a NC normally closed contact. Then have the relay trigger sourced from power to the headlights...Door Locks 5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive (Type C ...
Door Locks 5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive (Type C) Relay Wiring Diagram: The switch, when moved in either direction, applies both power and ground directly to motor legs without the use of any relays.Automotive Relay Guide | 12 Volt Planet
Relay terminology. The ISO mini relay we have looked at above has 4 pins (or terminals) on the body and is referred to as a make & break relay because there is one high current circuit and a contact that is either open or closed depending upon whether the relay is at rest or energised.Rocker Switch and Joystick Wiring W Linear Actuators: 4 Steps
The round rocker switch has different switches inside of it then the rectangle rocker switch. It is actually 2 switches, each with a Normally Open (NO) connection and a Normally Closed (NC) connection.Latching relay circuit schematic azatrax
The two schematic wiring diagrams below show how to wire an electrically latching relay circuit. This creates a basic memory function... the relay 'remembers' which switch was pressed last.Pirate4x4. The largest off roading and 4x4 website in ...

Relays generally have 4 pins (marked 85, 86, 30, 87) or 5 pins (85, 86, 30, 87, 87a). For most automotive relays, pins 85 and 86 are the coil circuit (and takes 12 Volts to activate the 'switch' assuming a 12V rated relay, of course!).
